Aim:
- Removes dew and loose surface material.

Brush pitch surface (daily, if possible) to help restore levels and produce striping (aesthetics).

All year round if conditions allow.
Effects of Incorrect Procedure:
- Possible occurrence of disease.
- Pitch not aesthetically pleasing.
Equipment:
- Use pedestrian or tractor mounted drag brush.
- Brush width min 2 metres.
Practical Tips:
- This operation can be replaced by harrowing.
- A tractor mounted drag brush is more appropriate on larger pitches.
- The direction of brushing should change with each operation.
