Aim:

Regular maintenance help keep equipment working to it best and most efficiently.

Method:

If Cylinder mowers are used, they will need grinding each year and new bottom blade fitted, rotary roller mowers will need blades checked and replaced if damaged. Petrol engines will need oil and filter replacements. 

Timing:

All year but mainly out of season.

Effects of Incorrect Procedure:

Not having equipment in working order or ready when need slows the preparation of the sports ground.

Always check settings for correct cutting heights.
