Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

PPE is personal (belongs to one person) equipment that will protect the user against health or safety risks at work. It can include items such as safety helmets, gloves, eye protection, high-visibility clothing, safety footwear and safety harnesses. It also includes respiratory protective equipment (RPE). 

PPE is a last resort and should only be used after all other controls have been implemented.

The employer/club  must select PPE with your/the users input e.g. correct size, shape etc to fit you/the user, the duration of use and the environment it will be used in.
